Section 1 - Policy

Trainright Client Responsibilities Policy

Purpose

To outline the tasks and responsibilities expected of clients partnering with Trainright (RTO 45777), including adherence to specified timeframes and prerequisites for certain courses.

Scope

This policy applies to all clients engaging Trainright's training services, including those undertaking training and assessment with our third-party partners.

Policy Details:

  1. Online Enrolment, Learning, and Assessment:
    • Enrolment Deadline: Students must be enrolled no later than one week (7 days) prior to the commencement of a course.
    • Learner Portal Account Creation: For face-to-face training sessions, participants must create their learner portal accounts before arriving on the training day.
    • Theory Completion: All theoretical components must be completed at least 48 hours before the scheduled practical assessment. Please note this only applies where the theory is delivered online.
    • Practical Assessment Eligibility: Failure to complete theoretical components within the specified timeframe will result in ineligibility to participate in the practical assessment.
  2. Course Prerequisites:
    • MSMSS00018 - Operate a High Pressure Water Jetting System:
      • Mandatory Prerequisites:
        • Completion of MSMSS00017: Participants must have successfully completed the MSMSS00017 skill set.
        • Supervised Work Experience: Participants are required to have completed 120 hours of supervised work practice related to high-pressure water jetting operations.
      • Note: These prerequisites are mandated by the national training package and are not specific to Trainright. Compliance with these requirements is essential to meet the standards set by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
  3. Communication and Accountability:
    • Appointment of On-Site Liaison:
      • Trainright recommends Clients designate a team leader or supervisor who has direct contact with the operators/staff enrolled in the course. This individual will be responsible for:
        • Informing Participants: Ensuring all operators/staff are aware of their responsibilities, course requirements, and deadlines.
        • Monitoring Compliance: Ensuring all tasks, including theory completion and prerequisite verifications, are completed within the specified timeframes.
        • Facilitating Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact between Trainright (or the nominated 3rd party) and the participants to address any questions or concerns promptly.
  4. Trainright's Commitment to Support:
    • Twice-Weekly Progress Updates: Trainright will provide clients with updates on student progress twice a week, ensuring transparency and timely interventions if necessary.
    • Student Support Availability: Trainright offers student support services from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, to assist with any academic or administrative inquiries.

Client Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to Timeframes: Ensure all enrolments and course requirements are completed within the specified timeframes to facilitate smooth training delivery.
  • Verification of Prerequisites: Confirm and document that all participants meet the necessary prerequisites before enrolling in the MSMSS00018 - Operate a High Pressure Water Jetting System skillset.
  • Accountability: Hold the Client or their appointed liaison accountable for monitoring participant compliance with course requirements and deadlines.
